This term we have been exploring measurement. We had a lot of fun comparing our heights in the class, finding out who is tallest and who is shortest in our groups. We had a go at measuring each other using the height chart. Some of us even found out how many cm tall we are!
In December, the children in Nursery were very busy learning songs and practising for their nativity show. We performed ‘A Miracle in Town!’ and had a lot of fun! Lots of our parents came to see us and we were all very proud of the show.
During work week, we learned about different jobs people do. We made rice crispy cakes and invited parents to our café. We served our customers our cakes and juice at tables and we had lots of fun learning about money.
The children have been exploring books in different areas in our outdoor environment. The teachers are really excited about getting the children to read outside.
In our drama sessions with Miss Verity, we are learning about telling a story through different expressions of movements.
We learnt about the Jewish holiday called Hanukkah and what the Jewish people do during this time. We made biscuits for our celebration.
On Friday mornings we invite our grownups in to read a story. We love sharing our books!
At the end of heritage week we celebrated our diversity by dressing up in cultural dress. We loved sharing our outfits and stories!
We have been ordering numbers, and exploring what different values look like.
On Thursday 13th July our Nursery and Reception pupils donned their t-shirts, shorts and trainers as they ran, jumped, danced and threw, as part of this year’s EYFS Sports Day. Thank you to all the parents who came along to support and cheer them on.
