As part of our working relationship with FTSE (Financial Times Stock Exchange), 12 of our Year 1 pupils visited their offices next door to St Paul’s Cathedral on 16th Nov 2016. 10 volunteers heard the children read and did maths games with them to support their learning in these subjects.

Yr 1 have been learning to work as team while developing their throwing and catching skills in PE.
As part of their topic this term, ‘The Sea’, Yr 1 visited Margate beach.
During Choral Speaking Week, Yr 1 performed the poem ‘The Sea’, by John Kitching.
In Science we have been exploring and learning to sort different types of materials.
In our drama lessons with Artis, we have been exploring many topics, including animals, cultural heritage and the traditional tale, The Three Little Pigs.
During Art Week, the pupils in Year 1 made fantastic collages using newspaper clippings.
On Wednesday 29th June, our Year 1 pupils spent an exciting day on the sandy shores of Margate Beach. A great time was had by all!
To further their learning about different modes of transport, our Year 1 pupils visited the Royal Mews to discover and compare the differences in travel between Queen Victoria, George VI and Queen Elizabeth II.
