Year 2 did a dance workshop as part of Diwali Week, where a company came in and taught them a traditional dance which they then performed to the whole school in an assembly at the end of the day!

We worked in mixed groups and asked questions to our friend in the ‘hot seat’. We all had a chance to be hot-seated and had to be in role as the character. We changed our voices and used our body language to imitate how the characters would’ve sounded and acted.
We worked in mixed groups and retold the story using different voices, actions and sounds. We also used out story map to help us remember the story in chronological order.
We worked in teams to solve all the below problems. The workshop helped to develop our independent learning skills, communication skills and problem solving! We soon realised that every puzzle can be solved by using the right strategies and effective teamwork!
Circusology came in to school to do workshop on circus skills. Year 2 got to try plate spinning, unicycling, stilt walking and other fun activities.
In their Geography lessons, the pupils in Year 2 have been learning about the climates of different countries across the globe.
In their PE lessons, our Year 2 pupils have been learning gymnastics in order to develop their balance, co-ordination and agility.
Our Year 2 children spent an exciting day at Lambourne End Outdoor Activity Centre discovering plants that are edible, what lies beneath the water in a pond and interesting facts about goats and other farm animals.
