The Year 3 children produced a wonderful performance about Chinese New Year! The children told the story of how each Chinese new year was named after a series of animals who took part in a famous race.
During Heritage Week, the Year 3 children explored musical instruments from around the world such as Nigeria, Brazil and Ireland. We had the opportunity to experience creating music using the drum.
During the Autumn Term, year 3 went to a chess convention where they competed against other schools in the country. We are pleased to announced that Adrian in 3F came 3rd in the tournament and returned to school a bronze medal. Well done Adrian!
Throughout the year, each class has visited a place of worship. On Thursday 12th May, our Nursery children visited the River Church in Canning Town, while our Year 3 pupils visited St. Phillips Church in Plaistow on Thursday 26th May.
Following their visit to Legoland in the Spring Term, the pupils in Year 3 participated in an array of exciting challenges during their Lego City workshops, in order to further enhance their creative writing.
Everything was awesome according to our Year 3 pupils who went to visit Legoland Windsor on Friday 18th March as part of their creative writing project.
