As part of Debate Week Year 4 participated in an inter class debate. We were debating whether bullies should be expelled or if alternative consequences would be better. Both classes made some amazing points, however only one class could be crowned champions and they were 4F on the day.
Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed the work they did with The Happy Puzzle company, they took full advantage of the opportunity to develop their problem solving skills through a number of different interesting challenges.
Year 4 really enjoyed their day at The London Chess Classic at Olympia in Kensington . We learnt lots of new chess moves and had the opportunity to challenge children from other schools around the country. Particular congratulations must go to Adrian, Jorge and Martin who all won bronze medals!
As part of our learning during Work Week, 4F visited London City Airport. The visit was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the different jobs people do every day in an airport. We didn’t realise that so many people were responsible to ensure that everyone has a safe flight!

We visited the British Museum as part of our History work for this term. The purpose of this visit was to learn more about the ancient Egyptians and to understand how they lived.
As part of their Design and Technology and Geography project, year 4 designed their own volcanoes from scratch using resources and materials from the school. After going through the initial stages of designing their volcanoes, the children made their volcanoes explode!!
As part of this terms History Project, year enjoyed a fantastic and memorable ‘History off The Page’ workshop about The Vikings and their settlement of England. The purpose of the workshop was for the children to experience and take part in real life activities, explore different scenarios and to learn more about the Vikings.
