Every Child a Musician programme
As part of the Every Child a Musician programme, our pupils learn to play a variety of instruments.
Music Sharing Assembly
A special assembly was held on 27th July 2016 to celebrate and share Keir Hardie pupils’ musical talents. Students from each year group performed pieces in front of the whole school, using the different instruments they had learned to use in their music lessons.
Year 1 and 2
Pupils in Year 1 and 2 have been learning to develop rhythms using African drums.
Pupils in Year 4 have been learning to play the Flutophone, developing control and expression.
Pupils in Year 5 have been learning about musical notation through playing the flute.
Pupils in Year 6 have been learning to play the keyboard and develop their composition and improvisational skills.
