Inspired by World Book Day’s 20th anniversary, we decided to hold a book week.
We started the week with an assembly and explained how we could all raise money for sick children by doing the Readathon.
We introduced the new ‘Story Chair’ in the assembly/
Each class had a story time session in the library with Mrs Gamar and members of our Senior Leadership Team kicked off the after school sessions.
Mrs Overton re-introduced the children to the library and wristbands, to encourage more children to visit, more often.
All teachers shared a story time in their classes at the end of World Book Day
We ended the week by dressing up as our favourite Roald Dahl characters to commemorate his 100th birthday. The Trunchbull led an assembly and teachers chose a winner from each class. The winners were awarded a book token.
