At Keir Hardie music plays an integral part in developing a confident and creative child.
The school has always aimed to promote music through provision of instrumental lessons to certain year groups via the Every Child a Musician scheme, but this academic year we are very excited that we are providing all Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils (Years 1 to 6) with weekly music lessons by employing a dedicated music teacher.
Our music provision is enriched further with music clubs (guitar and ukulele) and a choir for years 2-5. Furthermore Keir Hardie pupils are taking part in Newham Harmony project where at the end of the year they will have an opportunity to perform a range of songs together with other school choirs at a concert at Stratford Circus.

We also take part in E16 Groove Hub at Hallsville Primary every week after school, which is a musical collaboration between Hallsville, Keir Hardie and Scott Wilkie Primary Schools run by Newham Music.
