On Monday 9th July 13 children plus parents and staff got up very early and met at St Paul’s Station at 7.20am to walk to the London Stock Exchange where we had the amazing privilege of opening the London Stock Market at 8am. We were all very excited as we are the only primary school to have ever done this.
The opportunity arose as a result of our 11 year relationship with the FTSE Russell Group who have a number of volunteers that read and do maths with our children on a regular basis. A special thank you goes to Lucy & David at FTSE Russell who have been involved in the volunteering programme since it started in 2007 and who worked so hard to organise the morning. It was a real inspiration to us all!
