We have been reading Phoebe the Bee and the children have enjoyed learning all about bees, taking care of them and how they are so vitally important for our planet.
We have very much enjoyed this story and the children can up with some fantastic questions linked to our topic.
We rounded off this topic with some honey tasting. The children made their own toast (with adult supervision!) they spread the honey on their own toast and we talked about what it tasted like. The children were all in agreement that it was sticky and it tasted very sweet.
A couple of the children said it tasted like medicine! We have enjoyed this topic immensely. We will be learning about animals that change in the coming weeks, looking at caterpillars and frogs and their life cycles. Come back to see how the children get on next week!
