During Summer 1, Year 1 were learning about the seaside. In History they explored old photographs and discovered facts about the seaside 100 years ago. They got the chance to compare old and new when we went for a train ride to Southend Beach! We built sandcastles, paddled in the sea and even had an ice cream! When we got back to school we wrote diary entries and painted watercolour pictures of the things we had seen. We had an amazing time!
