Some facts about pineapples:
Pineapples grown outside in the optimum climate can bear their first fruit in 16 months.
Indoor plants may take 16 to 24 months, or longer, before they flower and form their first fruits.
The type of planting also impacts how long until the plants bear fruit
We predict that our pineapple project will give results when our current Year 2 gardeners are in Year 4 (if it gets to final stage successfully)!
Here are our Year 2 and CJ from Year 1 learning the new trick from Mrs Gilani, (growing without seeds).
